The collection consists of 18 subseries of radio programs recorded by KUAC-FM from approximately 1979 to 1997. Topics covered are of national and international significance, with Alaskan hosts interviewing leading experts of the day on Arctic policy, global warming, WWII internment of Japanese-Americans and Aleuts, effects of the Exxon Valdez oil spill on local communities, Peace Corps experiences, and Russian students in America.
