The collection documents Carol Cline’s interest and acclaim in the Dayton, Ohio radio community and the public relations industry. Also included is documentation on Cline’s international travels and civic commitment. The bulk of materials date from 1939-1966 and include correspondence, notes, news clippings, photographs, public relations materials, audio reels of "Carol’s Corner" radio broadcast interviews of famous and accomplished individuals, and a scrapbook. Cline interviewed high profile individuals from Miami Beach, Florida in 1963, including Mayor Kenneth Oka, and Marshal Wise, Director of the Cuban Refugee Center. Cline also interviewed professors and students from Cornell University, her alma mater. Cline’s interview subjects included several political figures, such as Congressman Robert Taft, Jr., Senator Paul Douglass, and Frances Perkins (former Secretary of Labor from 1934-1945). Entertainers interviewed by Cline included Bob Newhart, Roberta Peters, Helen Hayes, Peter Nero, Alan King, Jimmy Durante, and Liberace. Authors Abigail VanBuren, and Amy Vandervilt were a few of the authors interviewed. Among the Dayton Personalities were Roz Young, S.C. Allyn, Allan Eckert, Si Burick, Phil Donahue, and Dayton Philharmonic founder and director, Paul Katz.

WGLT is licensed to Illinois State University and is affiliated with NPR. It was originally a student operated radio station, signing on the air on April 24th, 1962 as a closed circuit radio station. A few years later, on February 4, 1966, the station received FCC licensing and began FM boradcasting. The station became a full NPR member in the 1970's. Both the audio and paper records are unprocessed. In the past year, the university archivist and the station’s general manager (along with a School of Communication professor) started the process to inventory all the audio and paper records.

New Dimensions Media is an independent, listener supported, educational broadcasting group based in Ukiah, California. Interviews by the group are carried by public and community radio stations and feature a gamut of eclectic voices including artists, scientists, ecologists, social architects, healers, spiritual leaders, indigenous voices, etc. The program is broadcast in more than 500 communities nationally. 570 linear feet of media (circa 6600 quarter-inch audio tapes, DATs, cassettes, minidiscs, and CDs) and 66 linear feet of archival records, including organizational files, resource files, press/promotional and mailings, photographs and slides, NEW DIMENSIONS JOURNAL and NEWSLETTER, and business records. The tapes hold approximately 7000 hours of audio and video recordings.
