Contains personal and business correspondence, office memos, photographs, news clips, a few radio scripts and other miscellaneous items from WBEN, Buffalo, NY and WBEN-TV from the late 1920s to late 1970s. Most of the radio scripts are incomplete. Also includes miscellaneous information about the "Buffalo Evening News" which owned the station. Haeffner worked with E. H. Butler Jr., owner of the newspaper, in the establishment of the radio station. A detailed inventory of the collection is available.

Contains transcripts of the weekly news/news analysis program entitled either The Week in Review or The News in Review broadcast January, 1935-May, 1940 on either WBEN or WEBR, Buffalo, NY. A strong opponent of Father Charles E. Coughlin, the audio visual series of the collection includes Ryan's address, "Roosevelt Safeguards America " in which he urged Catholics to repudiate Coughlin and support the New Deal and Roosevelt. The address was broadcast on national radio on October 8, 1936.

A privately held collection of approximately 26,000 programs with an emphasis on comedy and mystery. Highlights include AFRS programs such as Command Performance, Mail Call, G.I. Journal and Jubilee, The Lone Ranger, 1938-1948, news broadcasts, primarily from World War II, Fibber McGee and Molly, Our Miss Brooks, Phil Harris/Alice Faye, Philo Vance, Let George Do It and Boston Blackie.
Includes a complete run of the Texaco Star Theatre, 1935-1949, a large collection of AFRS programs from the 1960s, including AFRS versions of Gunsmoke, Walk Softly Peter Troy and Radio Novels, interviews with variety and radio artists conducted by Bob Dwan and miscellaneous other programs, including Behind the Story and Biography in Sound.
In addition to a large number of artifacts from the company, the collection includes eight cassettes of the Fitch Bandwagon, March, 1945-May, 1945 and 18 issues of the monthly newsletter, "Bandwagon News."

Personal collection of original 16" radio transcriptions and lacquers primarily documenting lesser-known radio programs, spanning the period from the late 1920s through 1960. Collection is primarily pressed 16" transcriptions, but also includes lacquers, some pressed 78 rpm discs and open reel audio tape, and examples of pressing plates used to manufacture 16" radio transcriptions. Programs are in a wide variety of genres. Collection also includes high-quality digital encodes of program material and high-resolution scans of disc labels.

Transcription discs of local radio broadcasts, 1946-1964, primarily of contemporary classical music performances and including some broadcasts of premieres (world premieres, first radio broadcasts, and first Washington performances), recorded by Rothschild, and some live recordings from Chamber Music Society of Baltimore concerts. Radio stations recorded include WBAL, WJZ, WCAO, WFBR, WITH, and WRC. The collection also includes several popular and jazz recordings, commercial releases, and some private home performances. Recordings of Chamber Music Society of Baltimore concerts and local radio broadcasts on reel-to-reel tapes, 1955-1991. The collection includes several world premieres from CMS concerts and other notable performances in broadcasts (first Washington performances, etc.). Radio recordings are concentrated in earlier recordings while CMS performances are concentrated later. The collection also includes a large subsection of recordings from Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz.

Recordings of performances from the Walnut Valley Festivals of 1981 and 1982. The annual Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS features competitions and live performances of the world's foremost string instrumentalists and folk/bluegrass performers.

Contains correspondence, photographs, newsclippings, songbooks and sheet music from Kincaid's career as the radio ballad singer, the "Kentucky Mountain Boy," who broadcast on WLS. Kincaid also appeared on stations in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Boston and on WHAM, Rochester, NY and from 1942-1947 with WSM's Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Roberts appeared on the National Barn Dance on WLS, on stations in Council Bluffs, IA, 1932, on WLAP, Lexington, KY, 1934, and after 1935 made guest appearances on WLW and WHAS.
A music broadcaster, music collector and community historian, Lair's papers consist of business correspondence, mail from listeners, photographs, program scripts, newsclippings, promotional material and 50 sound recordings, including National Barn Dance and Renfro Valley Barn Dance and Renfro Valley Gatherin' which Lair created while working for WLW, Cincinnati, OH and which were also heard on WHAS, Louisville, KY. In addition to appearing on the National Barn Dance, Lair was a producer and music librarian at WLS.
