Local 11 represents NBC on a vertical basis and includes radio, television and satellite technicians, engineers, desk assistants, news writers, maintenance workers and all other employees. Records also cover ABC. (In Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives.)
This series consists of short histories of two aircraft control and warning units of the South Carolina Air National Guard. Stationed on the front lines, these units' duties included vectoring pilots to targets, setting up radio relay stations in remote areas, and warning of advancing enemy activity. The 110th AC&W Squadron was formed in 1950, in response to needs of the Korean War. The unit was disbanded in 1953, and much of its functions, personnel and equipment were taken over by the 114th AC&W Squadron.

Contains corrected script for the half-hour program broadcast December 6, 1953. Includes two 15-rninute segments with an introductory and midway script for Lucky Strike advertisements.
Contains a collection of automobile and petroleum industry advertisements, ca. 1920-1949 that include sheet music and other material from radio programs sponsored by gasoline, oil or automobile companies. Also includes photographs of the radio personalities appearing on the covers.
Includes personal and business papers. Papers relating to KPRC are in Hobby's personal office files and range from early architectural drawings to licenses to instructions on how to run the switchboard. Also includes files from FCC hearings, 1955-1959, and a history of the station.

The collection consists of noncommercial sound recordings including performances by Jascha Heifetz and Larry Adler of popular chamber music; a performance of Aaron Avshalomoff's Symphony no. 2 by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra conducted by Thor Johnson; a speech by Mrs. Gilbert Chapman broadcast in 1943 promoting the American Women's Voluntary Services; and radio and television interviews with Gilbert W. Chapman and dancer Alexandra Danilova. The interviews with Chapman were recorded from 1956 to 1962 and concern literacy and education in the United States. Notable television and radio programs represented in the collection include the Tex and Jinx television program; a Monitor radio program; and a Lee Graham television interview. Also included is the opening address (given by Mr. Chapman) of the New York Public Library 50th anniversary convocation, and a radio program featuring a story about the WNYC book festival.
